Farmhouse Creative Acquires Williams Printing

Extra, Extra!  Read all about it!  I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now that Farmhouse Creative has acquired Williams Printing. Great news, right?!  We’ve heard many “Congrats!”, but we’ve heard many people ask what that means exactly.  Are we keeping the building?  No, we are not.  Are we keeping the presses?  No way, no how.  How about the name Williams Printing?  Nope.  What about employees?  Sorry, but that’s also a no.  So, what exactly DID you acquire?   We acquired the Williams Printing book of business.  Essentially, that means we’ve assumed their client base, order history, artwork files, etc. but NOT the building, presses, name, or employees.

So, what does all of this mean for you?  This transition will take place on October 25, 2021. Williams Printing has transferred all of their client records to Farmhouse Creative.  This means we have all of the order history, pricing,  as well as artwork for those jobs.  Anything that ran through Williams Printing will be able to run through Farmhouse Creative without issue.  In addition to the print projects that Williams Printing has handled, Farmhouse Creative is also able to offer Website Design/Development for small businesses as well as digital marketing.  We can help you create a brand-new website, refresh an existing one, or explore ways to make your digital marketing have a greater reach.

In a nutshell, things should run very similarly to Williams Printing.  Instead of contacting Tammy and her team, you’ll contact Angie and hers.  We’ll transition you into the Farmhouse family and will honor payment terms that were set up with Williams Printing.  You’ll see quotes and invoices come from Farmhouse Creative and, other than that, you shouldn’t be able to tell a difference.

Is this your first rodeo?  How do we know you won’t mess things up? you might be wondering.  As a matter of fact, this is NOT our first rodeo – but you might not know about the first one.  Back in 2014, when Farmhouse Creative was just 2 years old, we acquired the book of business from Printing Creations from Carolyn “Buffy” Grieves.  Farmhouse had built the business from the ground up starting with zero clients and growing steadily.  Carolyn was an established business owner who was looking to retire.  It was a match made in print-geek heaven. Carolyn retired and enjoyed her newfound freedom, Printing Creations closed, their employees found new employment, and Printing Creations transferred all of their clients, order history, pricing, and files to Farmhouse Creative.  Farmhouse took it from there.  We’ve retained the majority of those clients and continue servicing them even today.  So, you could say we’ve had some experience with this process.  While it is a big transition, it’s one we’ve done before and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and do it again.

Now, a little about us. My husband, Matt, is a life-long resident of Farmland and our 2nd grader attends Monroe Central Elementary.  You might also see our Project Manager, Amy Leffingwell, around as well.  Amy is a Muncie native and spends some of her spare time on the stage (and backstage too) at Muncie Civic Theatre.  We hear she plays a mean Wicked Witch of the West and Miss Gultch!  Our primary office is based out of downtown Muncie, IN.  However, we know what a vital resource Williams Printing is for Randolph and surrounding counties so be on the lookout for news regarding how we plan to continue that local impact in the future.

When Tammy and I started talking about this transition, we both realized that we run our companies in much the same way.  We place a strong value on relationships with our clients.  Making sure our clients are taken care of and get the best quality and value is our number one priority.  Because of this, we knew this acquisition would be a great fit.  As owner of Farmhouse Creative, I want to express my deep gratitude to Tammy and her team for entrusting her clients to me. Williams Printing has served the Farmland community (and beyond) for generations.  We are honored to continue their legacy through this partnership and look forward to welcoming Williams Printing clients into the Farmhouse family.
