Thinking Outside the Box

I’ve said it over and over again.  One of the best things about my career is that I get to work on all kinds of projects.  One day, I’m working on an operational form – the next day; I’m working on a promotional product for a client.  That’s what keeps the job interesting.   That’s what I love about it.

I was recently approached by a client who was throwing their parents a 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.  They wanted a party favor that their guests could take home with them to remember the event.  After proposing several standard promotional products, we couldn’t find one that was “quite” what they were looking for.

Standard promotional products are great.  However, if you don’t find something that strikes your fancy, it’s easy to give up.  Instead of doing that, the client and I headed to a local craft store.  We found some really great glittery ornaments.  They were great, but they needed a little something extra.   So, we found some pretty paper and festive ribbon to make personalized tags for each one.  This idea was exactly what they were looking for and added a little “pop” to the table.  I heard from the client and several of the guests that the ornaments were well received.

This is the reason I love my job.  Would your good old “Box Stores” seek out alternative options for you when what they have in stock doesn’t fit with your vision?  Nope.  Lucky for you, Farmhouse Creative isn’t a box store.  If we can’t find exactly what you need, we’ll do our best to think outside of the box for a way to make it happen!
